Subcontractor commission calculator

Work out what each tech is owed on a job, and who owes whom when the tech collected the money. Add a week of jobs to get one settlement number. Nothing you type leaves this page.

How the math works

  1. Split base = job total, minus parts (if parts come off the top), minus the card fee (if it comes off the top). Tips are left out of the base.
  2. Tech share = split base × the tech's split, plus parts if the tech bought them, plus the tip if the tech keeps it.
  3. Net: if the office collected, the company owes the tech their share. If the tech collected, the tech is holding the money and owes the company the difference. A plus means you owe the tech. A minus means the tech owes you.
  4. Week total nets every job into one number, so you settle once.

Splits, parts and fee rules vary from company to company. Use the settings at the top to match yours, and put your rules in writing. For the full guide, read how to pay subcontractor technicians. Tax and worker classification questions go to your accountant.
