Sign-in and security
A password alone is the weakest way to protect your company's jobs and customers. DispatchMind gives every login two stronger options: sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint, or add a two-step code from an authenticator app. Owners can also require one of them for every owner and admin.
All of this lives in one place: open your account menu at the top right (your initials) and pick Sign-in and security.
Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint
This uses a passkey saved on your device. It's faster than typing a password and much harder to steal.
- Open your account menu, then Sign-in and security.
- Choose Set it up on this device.
- Confirm with your face or finger when your device asks.
It works in Safari and Chrome, including the DispatchMind web app saved to your home screen. Set it up on each device you use. After you sign in on a new device, DispatchMind asks once: "Sign in faster on this device." Say yes and you're done.
Two-step code
A two-step code means someone needs your password and your phone to get in. You'll need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.
- Open your account menu, then Sign-in and security.
- Start the two-step code setup.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the code on the screen.
- Type the 6-digit code the app shows.
From then on, after you type your password, DispatchMind asks for the current code from your app.
Require it for owners and admins
Owners and admins can see the most, so they should be the best protected. An owner can turn on Require it for owners and admins in Sign-in and security.
To make sure nobody gets locked out, this option only works after you yourself have signed in with Face ID, fingerprint or a two-step code. Set up your own first, then turn it on.
Tell your admins before you switch it on, so they can set theirs up.
Staying signed in
You stay signed in on each device until you sign out. On an iPhone, add DispatchMind to your home screen so it opens like an app:
- Open app.dispatchmind.ai in Safari.
- Tap the share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
To sign out, open your account menu and pick Sign out. Do this on any shared or borrowed computer.
Change your password
Open your account menu and pick Change password. Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
If you lose your phone
- Don't panic. Your phone's own lock still protects it.
- Contact your owner or an admin right away. They can help you sort out your sign-in.
- If you're the owner, or nobody on your team can help, write to support@dispatchmind.ai from the email on your login. Include your company name.
- Once you're back in, change your password and set up Face ID, fingerprint or a two-step code on your new phone.
Good habits
- Every person gets their own login. Never share one.
- Remove logins the day someone leaves. See Adding your team.
- Owners and admins: check the activity log now and then for anything you don't recognize.
