Towing and roadside software
DispatchMind runs a towing and roadside company from one place: calls and leads in, jobs on the schedule, the work on your team’s phones, then the invoice. Pick Towing and roadside when you sign up and it’s set up for your trade from the first screen. You can change any of it later.
Towing is a phone business. A stranded driver calls, you need a truck moving in minutes, and the pickup and drop-off are rarely the same town. DispatchMind puts both addresses on the job, shows every driver side by side on the dispatch board, and lets Nellie take the call at night when you can't.
A typical towing and roadside job in DispatchMind
- A driver with a flat calls at midnight, and Nellie answers, gets the location and vehicle, and books a Flat tire job.
- You see it on the dispatch board, assign the closest driver, and they tap on my way in the tech app.
- If the tire can't be fixed, it becomes a Tow with the pickup address and the drop-off at the customer's shop on the same job.
- The driver adds photos of the vehicle before hooking it up and notes any damage.
- The customer pays by card on the spot through your own Stripe account, and the job shows in the driver's pay report.
What towing and roadside owners tell us slows them down
Calls come in all night
Breakdowns don't wait for business hours. Nellie can answer the phone when you can't, knows which roadside calls are urgent, and books the job so a driver can roll.
Two addresses, one job
Every tow has a pickup and a drop-off, and long-distance tows cross county lines. DispatchMind stores both addresses on the job, so the driver knows where the car is and where it's going.
Damage disputes after the tow
Customers sometimes say the scratch wasn't there before. Drivers take photos of the vehicle at pickup and drop-off in the tech app, and the call recording from DispatchMind Phone sits right on the job.

Nellie knows the trade
Nellie is the assistant built into DispatchMind. On a towing and roadside account she knows how your customers talk and what to ask:
- Where is the vehicle right now, exactly?
- Where should it go?
- Year, make, model, and does it roll and steer?
- Is anyone in danger or on a highway shoulder?
What she treats as urgent: Someone stranded on a highway or in an unsafe spot: tell them to stay in the car with the belt on or behind the guardrail, and call 911 if in danger; An accident with injuries: call 911 first.
What she never does: Never quote a price the company hasn’t set; Never promise an arrival time the dispatcher hasn’t confirmed.
Everything else
- Jobs move through four plain steps: Submitted, In progress, Pending, Done pending approval. Your trade’s own steps are color tags you can sort by.
- Estimates and invoices from your price book.
- A tech app for your team, with what each person may see set by you.
- Reports and commissions worked out from your own jobs.
- Bring your customers and jobs over from the system you use now.
Towing and roadside software: common questions
Can I put a pickup and drop-off address on a tow?
Yes. Every tow job holds both a pickup and drop-off address, so the driver sees the full trip in the app. That works for local tows and long-distance tows.
Can an AI answer my towing line after hours?
Yes. Nellie, the AI dispatcher add-on, can answer when you can't, ask the right roadside questions, flag what's urgent and book the job. She's on during the free trial.
How do I keep track of which driver is on which call?
The dispatch board shows every driver side by side with their jobs. Drivers tap on my way and close out jobs in the app, so you see where each call stands.
Can I work out driver pay from the jobs they ran?
Yes. DispatchMind works out tech pay and commissions from jobs and payments, and reports by tech show what each driver brought in by day, week or month.
Can I try DispatchMind for my towing company before paying?
Yes. The free trial runs 14 days with all features working and no card asked for. Let Nellie take a few night calls and see. After that it's month to month, no long contract.
