How to Cancel Jobber: Steps, Notice Rules and Export
To cancel Jobber, the account admin goes to the gear icon > Account and Billing > Change your subscription > Cancel Subscription. Monthly plans can be canceled any time before the next renewal, while annual plans need notice at least 30 days before renewal, and a 1-year commitment billed monthly still owes the remaining monthly payments. If you subscribed through the iPhone or Android app, you cancel in the app instead.
Everything here comes from Jobber's own help center and terms as of October 2026. Your signed order form or contract overrides the public terms. Check their site and terms for current details.
Before you cancel: a checklist
- Find your plan type and renewal date. Are you on no-commitment monthly, a 1-year commitment paid monthly, or annual? That decides when you can leave without owing more.
- Export your data. Client lists, reports, and PDFs of quotes, jobs and invoices you need to keep. Your access ends on your access end date.
- Plan for your phone number. Jobber's terms say the phone numbers it issues are owned by Jobber and not transferable (more below). Tell customers your new number early.
- Settle Jobber Payments. New accounts can have payouts held for 5 business days, and the risk team can add rolling or fixed reserves. Make sure your last payouts have landed before you close anything.
- Run the new system side by side. A couple of weeks of overlap keeps jobs and invoices from slipping.
Step by step
Only an admin can cancel.
On the web:
- Click the gear icon.
- Go to Account and Billing.
- Click Change your subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
In the mobile app (required if you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play):
- Tap More.
- Tap Subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If you subscribed through Apple or Google, refunds go through Apple or Google, not Jobber.
Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and save any confirmation email.
Canceling vs closing. Canceling your subscription is not the same as closing your account. Jobber has a separate, permanent account closure process. If you want your account and data closed for good, follow that article, and only after you've exported everything.
Notice periods, refunds and contracts
From the Jobber Terms of Service (updated 09/22/2026, checked 10/12/2026):
| Section | What it says |
|---|---|
| §3.2 | Subscriptions auto-renew. Monthly plans can be canceled any time before renewal. Annual plans must be canceled at least 30 days before renewal |
| §3.3 | Fees are non-refundable; no credit for partial months |
| §3.3.1 | Annual billed monthly is a 1-year commitment. Cancel early and you still owe the scheduled monthly payments through the end of the term |
| §3.3.2 | No downgrade before the term ends |
| §5.3 | Phone numbers issued for your company are owned by Jobber, are not transferable, and Jobber has no obligation to port them |
Jobber's pricing page lists both no-commitment monthly prices and "1-year commitment" prices, so look at what you picked when you signed up. If your order form says something different, the order form wins.
Get your data out
As of October 2026, per the Jobber help center:
- Clients: Clients > More Actions > Export Clients, then pick CSV or vCard. The file is emailed to you. Each CSV holds up to 1,500 rows, so large lists come in several files. Admin only, and available on select plans. If you don't see the option, ask their support.
- Reports: open a report and click Export Excel Copy. A CSV is emailed, usually within about 15 minutes. Export the reports for jobs, invoices, payments and anything else you track.
- Quotes, jobs and invoices: one at a time, More Actions > Download PDF.
We did not find a documented bulk export for photos and attachments. If you need those, ask their support before you cancel.
Keep your phone number
If you use a business number you brought from another carrier, keep it with that carrier. If Jobber issued the number, the terms (§5.3) say it is owned by Jobber, is not transferable, and Jobber has no obligation to port it. If keeping that number matters, ask their support in writing whether a port is possible for your account before you cancel. Either way, start telling customers your new number now, and update your website, Google profile and vehicles.
What happens after you cancel
Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for. After your access end date, you lose access to your clients, jobs and invoices in Jobber. If you're on a 1-year commitment billed monthly, the remaining scheduled payments are still due. Account closure, if you choose it, is permanent.

Questions
Can I cancel Jobber any time?
On a no-commitment monthly plan, yes, any time before your next renewal. On an annual plan, cancel at least 30 days before renewal. On a 1-year commitment billed monthly, you still owe the remaining months.
Does Jobber give refunds?
The terms say fees are non-refundable with no partial-month credit (§3.3). If you subscribed through Apple or Google, refund requests go to them.
Can I take my Jobber phone number with me?
Per §5.3, numbers Jobber issues are owned by Jobber and not transferable, with no obligation to port. Ask their support if you want to try.
Is canceling the same as closing my Jobber account?
No. Canceling stops the subscription. Closing the account is a separate, permanent step.
How do I export my clients from Jobber?
Clients > More Actions > Export Clients, then choose CSV or vCard. It's emailed, 1,500 rows per CSV file, admin only, on select plans.
