Jobber vs DispatchMind: Price per User, AI, Payments

By the DispatchMind team · Updated 10/12/2026 · 7 min read

If you're a small crew of one to five people who want the easiest app with a big help library, Jobber is a good pick. If you have an office team and field techs, pay techs on commission, and want the phone and an AI dispatcher inside the same app, DispatchMind usually costs less and does more of the office work. The biggest differences are how users are counted, what the AI on the phone does, and whose account your card payments land in.

The short version

Jobber is easy, well reviewed (4.6 on G2 and Capterra) and publishes its prices. DispatchMind also publishes its prices and is built for shops with office staff, techs on their own app, commissions, a dialer and an AI that dispatches.

Here's how they compare as of October 2026. Check Jobber's site and terms for current details.

Price: the math at 1, 5, 10 and 15 users

Jobber's published no-commitment Grow prices are $199 for 1 user, $299 for 5, $399 for 10 and $499 for 15. Extra users are $29 a month. DispatchMind's plans include office logins: 2 on Starter, 5 on Team, 10 on Pro and 20 on Business, with extra office logins at $29.

Office users Jobber Grow (no commitment) DispatchMind How we got there
1 $199 $79 (Starter) Starter includes 2 logins
5 $299 $179 (Team) Team includes 5 logins
10 $399 $299 (Pro) Pro includes 10 logins
15 $499 $444 (Pro + 5 extra) $299 + (5 x $29) = $444. Or Business at $499 for 20 logins

To be fair, Grow isn't Jobber's only plan. Connect is cheaper ($139, $199, $299 and $399 at the same user counts), and at 15 users Connect's $399 beats DispatchMind's $444. Jobber's 1-year commitment prices are lower too. And the plans don't line up feature for feature: DispatchMind Starter doesn't include reports and automations (Team adds them), and commissions and tech pay start on Pro.

The bigger gap is techs. Jobber's pricing page counts a user as anyone who accesses the account "at the office or in the field." So 5 office people plus 5 techs is 10 users: $399 on Grow. On DispatchMind that's Team at $179 plus 5 tech app logins at $15 each, which is $179 + $75 = $254. Jobber's published tiers stop at 15 users and bigger teams are sent to sales. DispatchMind Business covers 20 office logins at $499, and tech logins stay $15 each.

AI on the phone: answering vs. dispatching

Jobber's AI Receptionist is a $29 a month add-on. Per Jobber, it answers calls and texts 24/7, matches the caller to the client profile, and can help existing clients book new work, reschedule or cancel visits and get visit details. You control what it's allowed to do. At $29, it's a good price for that.

Nellie costs more, $149 a month, because she's built to do the dispatcher's job. She answers your DispatchMind Phone number 24/7, books and moves visits in the real schedule, picks the tech, and answers questions about jobs and money in plain English. She greets callers in your language and switches to theirs. If you only need requests taken and booked, Jobber's add-on may be enough.

The phone itself is different too. DispatchMind Phone gives you your own business numbers (or you move yours in), calls and texts inside the app, a dialer that rings up to 5 customers at once, voicemail drops, recordings saved on the job and call masking for techs. Jobber's terms (section 5.3) say company-specific phone numbers are owned by Jobber, aren't transferable and Jobber has no obligation to port them. If a number is part of your brand, that matters.

Payments: holds and reserves vs. your own Stripe

Jobber Payments holds new accounts' payouts for 5 business days, and its risk team can add reserves, either rolling (for example 5% for 30 days) or fixed. That's normal for a processor, but it's cash you wait on.

With DispatchMind, card payments go through your own Stripe account. The money goes to your Stripe, not held by DispatchMind. Tips work, and customers can pay over time with Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay if you turn them on in Stripe.

Contract: watch the 1-year option

Jobber's no-commitment monthly plan cancels any time before renewal. The cheaper 1-year commitment billed monthly is different. Jobber's terms (section 3.3.1) say if you cancel early you still owe the scheduled monthly payments to the end of the term, and section 3.3.2 says you can't downgrade before the term ends. Fees aren't refunded and there are no partial months.

DispatchMind is month to month only. Cancel from Plan and billing in the app. Cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge and that charge is refunded in full (once per company). Start paying by 12/31/2026 and you keep your starting prices for as long as you stay.

How to switch from Jobber

  1. Check whether you're on no-commitment monthly or a 1-year commitment, and note your renewal date.
  2. Export clients (Clients > More Actions > Export Clients, CSV, 1,500 rows per file) and your reports. Quotes, jobs and invoices download as PDFs one at a time.
  3. Start a DispatchMind trial and import your CSV. Statuses line up, open balances come over, canceled jobs stay behind, and re-running a file never doubles anything. See moving your data in.
  4. Settle any Jobber Payments holds or reserves and download your payout records.
  5. Run both for a couple of weeks, then cancel as an admin under Account and Billing. If you subscribed through the app store, cancel there.

Questions

Is DispatchMind cheaper than Jobber?

At 1, 5 and 10 office users it is cheaper than Jobber Grow's no-commitment price, and the gap grows once you add techs. At 15 users Jobber Connect ($399) is cheaper than DispatchMind Pro plus 5 extra logins ($444), so compare the plan you'd actually use.

Do Jobber field techs count as users?

Yes. Jobber's pricing page counts anyone who accesses the account at the office or in the field. DispatchMind tech app logins are $15 each.

Why is Nellie $149 when Jobber's AI is $29?

Nellie does the dispatcher's job: she books into the real schedule, picks the tech and answers questions about jobs and money in the caller's language. Jobber's add-on is cheaper and handles requests, booking and visit changes for clients.

Can I take my Jobber phone number with me?

Jobber's terms say company-specific numbers are owned by Jobber and not transferable. Check with Jobber before you plan around a number.
