Jobber Alternatives for Small Business (2026 Prices)

By the DispatchMind team · Updated 10/01/2026 · 7 min read

The best Jobber alternatives for a small business are Kickserv if you want the lowest bill, Housecall Pro if you want more marketing tools, Service Fusion if you want unlimited users, and DispatchMind if you dispatch a crew every day and want cheap tech logins. Jobber itself is a good product. People leave it for one main reason: the price climbs as the team grows. Below is what Jobber actually costs at three team sizes, how each alternative compares, and when you should just stay put. Prices are as of October 2026.

Is Jobber expensive?

For one person, no. For a growing crew, it can be.

Jobber publishes its prices, which deserves credit. As of October 2026, billed monthly with no commitment:

Paying a year up front drops those numbers. Core, for example, is $29 a month prepaid yearly.

Add-ons cost extra: AI Receptionist is $29 a month, Pipeline is $49 and Marketing Suite is $99.

What trips people up is where features land. Automated reminders and follow-ups start on Connect. Two-way texting, job costing and custom automations start on Grow. So the $49 plan is real, but a lot of shops end up on Grow, and then every jump in team size is a step up.

Check Jobber's site for current pricing before you decide.

What Jobber does well

Be fair to it before you leave it. Jobber's quotes and invoices look professional, the client hub works, and reviewers on Software Advice praise its support and how easy it is to learn. It has iPhone and Android apps and a big list of integrations. For a lawn care, cleaning or handyman business with a simple day, it's a solid pick.

The complaints tend to come from shops that outgrew it. Reviewers mention costs rising with team size, limited invoice customization, and a scheduler that is job-focused rather than built for a dispatcher watching a whole crew.

What a cheaper Jobber alternative really costs

Sticker price means nothing without the team size. Here's a side-by-side at three sizes, billed monthly. Plans don't include identical features, so read the notes below the table.

Team Jobber Housecall Pro Kickserv Service Fusion DispatchMind
Solo (1 person) $49 Core $79 Basic $60 Start $245 Starter $79 Starter
5 people (2 office, 3 techs) $199 Connect, $299 Grow (2 to 5 people) $189 Essentials $60 Start $245 Starter $224 Team ($179 + 3 techs at $15)
12 people (3 office, 9 techs) $399 Connect, $499 Grow (11 to 15 people) $469 Max (8 users + 4 at $35) $199 Scale $245 Starter $314 Team ($179 + 9 techs at $15)

A few things that table doesn't show:

6 Jobber alternatives, by who they fit

Kickserv: if price is the whole decision

Start is $60 a month for 5 users, Run is $119 for 10 and Scale is $199 for 20. You get reminders, time and expense tracking, and more than 20 standard reports from the start. It's the closest thing to a cheap Jobber alternative that still runs a real business. Don't expect the polish or the extras.

Housecall Pro: if you want marketing in the same app

Basic is $79 for 1 user, Essentials is $189 for 5 and Max is $329 for 8, with $35 per extra user on Max. Online booking and review requests come on every plan. Commissions, checklists, GPS tracking and routes start on Essentials. It's a fair trade for residential shops that want booking and reviews handled in one place. See our full Housecall Pro alternatives breakdown.

Service Fusion: if you hate per-user math

Every plan has unlimited users. Starter is $245 a month billed monthly, or $208 billed yearly. Plus ($382) adds inventory, job costing and their voice and text tools. No contract. Once you pass about 10 people, the flat bill starts looking good.

Workiz: if your phone is your business

Workiz is built around calls, with its own phone system and AI answering sold as add-ons. As of October 2026 it doesn't show prices on its pricing page, so you'll need a demo. Read our Workiz alternatives post for what reviewers say about the add-on costs.

FieldPulse: if you want it shaped to your workflow

FieldPulse is seat-based and quotes every account. It covers estimates, invoices, scheduling, a price book, inventory, maintenance agreements and custom forms, and it offers its own phone system. You'll need a sales call to get a number.

DispatchMind: if you dispatch a crew all day

DispatchMind is built around the dispatch board. Techs sit side by side, you drag work where there's room, and it shows up in the tech's app. Each tech gets their own login and sees only their jobs: address, notes, checklist and photos. They close out from the driveway, and the office sees it the same minute.

The pricing is the other reason people look. Office logins come in the plan: 2 on Starter ($79), 5 on Team ($179), 10 on Pro ($299), 20 on Business ($499). Techs are $15 a month each, not a full user seat. Extra office logins are $29.

Other things you get:

What it won't do for you: there's no client hub for customers to book themselves, and no built-in marketing suite. The Android app is on the way; it runs in any phone browser now, and the iPhone app is on the App Store.

When to stay on Jobber

Stay if you're a 1 to 3 person shop on Core or Connect and happy. Stay if your customers love the client hub and online booking. Stay if most of your work is recurring visits on a simple route. Switching software costs time, and a happy small shop shouldn't chase a cheaper line on a spreadsheet.

Leave if you're adding techs every year, paying for Grow mostly for automations, or running dispatch off a whiteboard because the schedule view doesn't show the whole crew the way you need. Our guide on how to dispatch technicians covers what a good dispatch day looks like.

Questions

What is cheaper than Jobber?

Kickserv for the lowest cost, Housecall Pro for booking and reviews, Service Fusion for unlimited users, and DispatchMind for shops that dispatch a crew all day.
