How to Cancel ServiceTitan: Contracts, Notice and Export
To cancel ServiceTitan, you send written notice, and their terms say email to billing@servicetitan.com is sufficient. Most customers sign an order form, and the term in that order form controls when you can leave. Accounts on the public terms alone are month to month with 30 days written notice, but ending a contract early means a termination fee equal to all remaining payments.
Everything below comes from ServiceTitan's own Terms of Use and help center as of October 2026. Your signed order form or contract overrides the public terms, and with ServiceTitan it usually decides everything. Check their site and terms for current details.
Before you cancel: a checklist
- Find your order form. Look for the start date, term length (often multi-year), renewal language, notice period and the number of paid users. Put the end date on your calendar, then a reminder well ahead of the notice deadline.
- Export your data. Customers, price book, jobs, invoices, memberships and equipment. Do it while you still have full access.
- Port your phone numbers first. The port-out needs details from your ServiceTitan settings and a recent invoice, so grab them before access ends.
- Settle payments. Make sure your last payouts have landed and download payment and tax reports.
- Run the new system side by side. Large shops usually need longer overlap. Plan for it.
Step by step
- Read your order form. It sets your term and any notice period. If it's unclear, ask your ServiceTitan account manager to confirm your term end date in writing.
- Export your data (see below).
- Gather porting details and start number ports with your new provider.
- Send written notice to billing@servicetitan.com. Include your company name, Tenant ID, account owner, the date, and say clearly that you are giving notice of non-renewal or termination at the end of your term.
- Get written confirmation of the end date and any amounts ServiceTitan says are due. Save it.
- Request a post-termination export in writing if you want one (see below).
Notice periods, refunds and contracts
From the ServiceTitan Terms of Use (last updated 09/16/2026, checked 10/12/2026):
| Section | What it says |
|---|---|
| §5(a) | Term starts when you register. Without an order form, subscriptions are month to month and renew automatically. Notice by email to billing@servicetitan.com is sufficient |
| Order form | Most customers sign one, and its term controls |
| Terms-only accounts | Month to month, 30 days written notice |
| §5(c) | Terminate before the term ends and you owe a termination fee equal to all remaining payments. Paid users can't be removed before the end of the period they were added for. You may terminate with 30 days written notice if ServiceTitan materially breaches the agreement |
| §5(e) | ServiceTitan is not obligated to keep your data more than 60 days after termination (the "Export Period") |
In plain terms: on a multi-year order form, leaving early can mean paying out the rest of the contract. Check your form's exact notice language, and if anything is unclear, ask their support or your account manager.
Get your data out
As of October 2026, per the ServiceTitan help center:
- Customers: Search > Customers > Expand > Export to Excel.
- Price book: Pricebook > Import/Export > Export tab. It exports an .xlsx file per business unit, so repeat for each one.
- Jobs, invoices, memberships, equipment: use reports and export them. If you're not sure which reports cover what, ask their support.
After termination: per §5(e), ServiceTitan will make commercially reasonable efforts to export your data on request, in formats such as a .BAK database file, and service fees may apply. It is not obligated to keep your data more than 60 days after termination. Ask about any fee before you rely on this, and don't wait.
We did not confirm a bulk export for photos, attachments or call recordings. If you need those, ask their support.
Keep your phone number
Per ServiceTitan's porting-out article:
- Your new provider submits the port request.
- Take a screenshot of Settings > Phone Numbers showing the numbers.
- The service address must use the same ZIP code as the account.
- Download an invoice from Settings > Billing before your final date. Your new carrier may ask for it.
- Your account number is your Tenant ID, found under Settings > Integrations > API Application Access.
Don't let your account end before the port completes.
What happens after you cancel
Your access ends when the term ends or the termination takes effect. Fees for the remaining term may still be due under §5(c). ServiceTitan isn't obligated to keep your data past 60 days, and a post-termination export may cost money. Export before your end date.
