Workiz vs DispatchMind: Prices, Contracts, AI Phone

By the DispatchMind team · Updated 10/12/2026 · 7 min read

If you want to see the price before you talk to sales, and you want to leave any month without owing the rest of a year, pick DispatchMind. If you live on Workiz's phone tools and its financing and lead integrations, and an annual contract doesn't bother you, Workiz is still a solid tool. The two biggest differences are how you buy (published price and month to month vs. quote and annual contract) and how the AI phone is sold (built in vs. separate add-ons).

The short version

Workiz is a field service app with a strong phone side. DispatchMind is a newer job-management platform that puts the jobs board, dispatch, invoices, phone and an AI dispatcher named Nellie in one place, with prices on the website.

Here's how they line up as of October 2026. Check Workiz's site and terms for current details.

Price: hidden vs. published

Workiz's pricing page now shows "Request pricing" for Standard, Pro and Ultimate. According to PricingSaaS, which tracks pricing pages, Workiz hid and re-showed its prices four times after 4/24/2026 and removed the last per-seat prices on 8/24/2026. The last public numbers were Kickstart $225, Standard $275 and Pro $325 a month, billed yearly.

It means you can't compare Workiz without a sales call.

DispatchMind puts every price on the pricing page. Starter is $79 a month with 2 office logins. Team is $179 with 5 and adds reports and automations. Pro is $299 with 10 and adds commissions and tech pay, tech access levels and the collections list. Business is $499 with 20 and adds queues, priority support and a free data move-in. Extra office logins are $29 and tech app logins are $15. Pay yearly and you get 2 months free.

There's also a 2026 price lock: start paying by 12/31/2026 and you keep the prices you started on for as long as you stay subscribed.

Contract: annual vs. month to month

This is the one to read slowly. Workiz's Billing FAQ says, "All Workiz plans are purchased on annual contracts, but payments may be made monthly or annually." Paying monthly is not the same as a monthly contract.

Workiz's terms (updated 02/19/2026) set a default 12-month term that renews for another 12 months unless you send written notice at least 30 days before the term ends. To cancel you email cancel@workiz.com, and it takes effect at the end of the current term. Prepaid fees aren't refunded and all amounts under the term stay due. Terms also allow price increases of up to 10% a year, and after termination you lose access right away.

DispatchMind is month to month with no contract. The owner cancels from Plan and billing inside the app. And if you cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge, that first charge is refunded in full, no questions asked (once per company).

AI phone: add-on vs. built in

Workiz sells Genius Phone, Genius Answering (its AI answering) and Genius Marketing separately. Genius Answering can book and reschedule, and it answers in English and Spanish. Per Workiz's FAQ, it needs a paid Genius Phone plan, counts a call after 20 seconds, and stops answering when you go over your monthly limit. Workiz doesn't publish the price. One third-party estimate (Carly, which sells a competing AI product) puts it around $200 a month plus about $100 a month for the phone it needs.

Nellie is DispatchMind's AI dispatcher. She answers your DispatchMind Phone number 24/7, books and moves visits right into the real schedule, picks the tech, and answers questions about jobs and money in plain English. She greets callers in your language and switches to theirs. She's $149 a month on any plan and free during the trial. The phone system itself (numbers, calls and texts, the dialer, voicemail drops, recordings, call masking) is part of DispatchMind.

What Workiz does well

Be fair to Workiz. Its phone and call tracking are mature. It connects to QuickBooks, Thumbtack, Angi and Yelp, and it offers customer financing through Sunbit and Wisetack. It claims 120,000+ pros. If your business runs on those exact integrations and you're happy with your rep, there's no fire to put out.

The common complaints are about the business side, not the app. Workiz holds a 1.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot (124 reviews) with reviews about hard downgrades and cancels, slow support and features moving to add-ons. Some Capterra reviews mention dropped calls and QuickBooks sync issues.

How to switch from Workiz

  1. Find your contract and your renewal date. Put the notice deadline (30 days before) on your calendar.
  2. Export what you need: custom reports as CSV, the client report, and Message Center chats. Invoices and estimates download one at a time, so grab the ones you need.
  3. Start your DispatchMind trial and import your customers and jobs from the CSV. Statuses line up, open balances come over, canceled jobs stay behind, and re-running a file never doubles anything. See moving your data in.
  4. Port your phone numbers before you cancel. Ask Workiz support for the port-out info, start the port at the new provider, and keep the Workiz number live until it completes.
  5. Run both side by side for a couple of weeks, then send your cancellation in writing and keep the confirmation.

Questions

Does Workiz still publish its prices?

Not as of October 2026. The pricing page says "Request pricing" for each plan. The last public prices, per PricingSaaS, were $225 to $325 a month billed yearly.

Can I cancel Workiz month to month?

Workiz's Billing FAQ says all plans are on annual contracts, even if you pay monthly. Its terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, so check your own order before you plan around it.

Is Nellie the same as Workiz Genius Answering?

Both answer calls and book. Nellie also picks the tech, answers questions about jobs and money, and switches to the caller's language. She's $149 a month with a published price, and the phone she runs on is part of DispatchMind.

Will my call recordings and photos come over?

Keep your own copies of anything you need from Workiz. The import brings over customers, jobs, statuses and open balances.

Try it on your own jobs. Start the 14-day free trial, no card, everything on. Or click through the live demo first, and read the switch page when you're ready to move.
