GorillaDesk Alternatives for Pest, Pool and Lawn (2026)

By the DispatchMind team · Updated 10/12/2026 · 7 min read

The best GorillaDesk alternatives are FieldRoutes if you run a larger pest or lawn company, Skimmer if you only do pools, Jobber or Housecall Pro if you want a general home service app, and DispatchMind if you run several trades or a mix of route work and repair calls and want the phone built in. GorillaDesk is well liked by pest control and pool companies, and for a one or two route shop it's hard to argue with. People look elsewhere when the per-route bill climbs, when routing doesn't fit, or when the work goes beyond recurring stops. Facts below are as of October 2026.

How GorillaDesk pricing works

GorillaDesk charges per schedule, meaning each technician who runs a route. Office users are free. As of October 2026, its site lists:

Unlimited admins, managers, sales and crew users come free on every plan. If a crew rides together, only the crew leader needs a schedule. Yearly billing gets one month free. No setup fees, no contract, and a 14-day free trial.

Texting is extra: $5 a month for a business number, plus message credits ($50 for 1,000 texts as of October 2026). Its VoIP phone starts at $65 a month per user on Basic.

What GorillaDesk does well

It's built for route work and it shows. Basic includes invoices, estimates, work orders, job and customer maps, basic routing up to 25 stops, triggered automations, automated reminders and 20 built-in reports. Pro adds a customer portal, online booking, routing with real drive times, review requests, e-signatures, commission tracking, QuickBooks Online, Zapier, an open API and GPS tracking. Growth adds drive time between jobs, best available time suggestions and multi-branch support.

GorillaDesk holds a 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra from about 280 reviews as of October 2026. Reviewers praise responsive support and a simple interface. About 72% of reviewers use it for pest control.

The complaints are mostly about routing: suggested routes aren't always the best, so people rebuild schedules by hand. Some say Pro is expensive for a small business, and card fees add up.

GorillaDesk alternatives compared

Monthly cost with one office person and a growing number of techs, billed monthly. Features differ, so read the notes.

Team GorillaDesk Basic GorillaDesk Pro Jobber Housecall Pro DispatchMind Team
1 tech (owner runs the route) $49 $99 $49 Core $79 Basic $194 ($179 + 1 tech at $15)
3 techs + 1 office $149 $199 $199 Connect $189 Essentials $224 ($179 + 3 techs at $15)
8 techs + 1 office $399 $449 $299 Connect $364 Max (8 users + 1 at $35) $299 ($179 + 8 techs at $15)

As of October 2026. Check each vendor's site for current pricing.

What it tells you: GorillaDesk is the cheaper pick for one to three routes. Around eight routes, per-route pricing starts to cost more than tools that charge little or nothing per tech. DispatchMind Starter ($79) is cheaper than Team but doesn't include automations or reports, so Team is the fair match for GorillaDesk.

6 GorillaDesk alternatives, by who they fit

FieldRoutes: if you're a bigger pest or lawn company

FieldRoutes is built for pest control and lawn care, from small shops to large companies. It covers route optimization, a tech app, automated reminders, lead management, a payment portal and QuickBooks. Its monthly price is based on active customers, and you have to request a quote as of October 2026.

Skimmer: if you only service pools

Skimmer charges per serviced location: $1 per location with a $49 monthly minimum on Getting Started (up to 49 pools), and $2 per location with a $98 minimum on Scaling Up, as of October 2026. Unlimited techs and admins. If you're pool only, it's purpose-built.

Jobber: if you want a general home service app

Jobber is easy to learn and has a strong client hub. Core is $49 for one user; Connect is $199 for up to 5 people and $299 for up to 10. The trial is 14 days on Grow. See our Jobber alternatives post for what it costs as you grow.

Housecall Pro: if you want marketing built in

Basic $79, Essentials $189 for 5 users, Max $329 for 8 plus $35 per extra user. Online booking and review requests are part of the package. The trial is 14 days on Max. Our Housecall Pro alternatives post covers it in detail.

Kickserv: if you just want cheap

Start is $60 for 5 users, Run $119 for 10, Scale $199 for 20, with a 30-day trial. Dispatch mapping starts on Run. It's general field service software, not route software, so check how it handles your recurring stops.

DispatchMind: if you run more than routes

DispatchMind is one app for the phone, the schedule, techs in the field, estimates, invoices, payments and the numbers. Pest control, pool, lawn and landscaping are on its list of 80+ trades, next to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, garage door and the rest. It fits a company that does recurring visits and repair calls, or runs more than one trade or brand.

For route work it has recurring service plans with route sheets, a jobs map, a dispatch board with techs side by side, crews, and a day, week and month calendar. Color tags show what every job needs next.

What else comes with it:

Plans: Starter $79, Team $179, Pro $299, Business $499, with tech logins at $15 each and 2 to 20 office logins included. Month to month.

What to know: GorillaDesk includes free office users on every plan and is cheaper for one to three routes. DispatchMind's Android app is on the way; the iPhone app and browser version are live now.

When to stay on GorillaDesk

Stay if you run one to five routes of pest or pool work and the price works. Stay if your techs like the app and support has been good to you. Stay if Pro's online booking and review requests are doing their job.

Look around if your route count keeps climbing and so does the bill, if you're rebuilding routes by hand, or if you also take repair calls and service work that don't fit a route. Our guide to field service software for small business covers what to check before switching.
